Scrap-for-Hire

Welcome to Stacy's Scrap, my blog home for Stacy's Scrap-for-Hire business. I have been scrapbooking since I was expecting my first baby, over 11 years ago! Of course I did traditional paper scrapbooks back then. Recently I found digital scrapbooking and I was hooked instantly!

I have to admit, I was a little nervous about printing out my digital layouts; I loved the way the looked on the screen, but would I love them as much on a flat piece of paper? When my first order of prints came I was blown away by how realistic they looked. In fact, I had to run my hand over the page to see that, yes, it was just a print. It looked that realistic!

There are so many reasons I love digital scrapbooks. One is the fact that I can create a bound book that would look great on my coffee table, or print my pages one at a time to slip into my traditional scrapbook. Another reason is that I can make multiple copies of the same layout (think Christmas gifts for grandparents!). The ability to size photos and memorabilia to easily fit the page makes it great for getting lots of pictures on a page, or perfect for enlarging that one special photo. And the biggest reason for me is the ability to add elements to the pages that would be too bulky in a paper scrapbook.

If you are a paper scrapper who is overwhelmed by all of the "stuff" you have to have on hand (and store) to make a pretty page, I would encourage you to try digital scrapbooking. There are lots of great websites out there that help the novice get started.

If you want to get a particular album done (baby's first year, wedding, vacation, etc) but don't have the time, I'd love to help! You can email me at stacnickels@hotmail.com to set up an initial consultation.
